SSIC Section S – Arts, sports and recreation

Companies in this section run arts, cultural, sports, entertainment and recreation activities, and gambling, for people with many different interests.

Arts and culture covers writers, artists and performers, the people who stage and support live shows, and the operators of theatres, concert halls and cultural centres. It also covers libraries, archives, museums, historical sites, the conservation of cultural heritage, and botanical gardens, zoos and nature reserves.

Sports and recreation covers gyms, sports venues, sports clubs and the organisers of sports events, and also theme parks, game arcades, nightclubs, karaoke lounges and recreation clubs.
