Companies in this sub-class give single or shared rooms, or beds in dormitories, to students, workers and other people. Examples are student residences, school dormitories, worker hostels, and lodging and boarding houses.

Chartering offshore accommodation with an operator is also included. Backpacker hostels and capsule hotels for travellers are classified elsewhere.
