SSIC Sub-class 61010 – Telecommunications network operation

Companies in this sub-class run, maintain or give access to networks that carry voice, data, text, sound and video by wire, wireless or satellite. Examples are fixed-line and leased-circuit services, mobile networks, cable systems and direct-to-home satellite television.

Network operators that supply internet access or VoIP calls over their own networks are included. Companies that buy network capacity and supply services with it are also here. Installing cables in buildings is classified elsewhere.
