SSIC Sub-class 88101 – Social services for the elderly

Companies in this sub-class give social, counselling, welfare and referral services to the elderly, in their homes or elsewhere. Providers can be public or private bodies, voluntary welfare organisations or counsellors.

Examples are visiting and befriending, day care, meal services, drop-in centres and home help for the elderly.
