SSIC Sub-class 01600 – Agricultural and animal husbandry service activities (except veterinary activities)

Companies in this sub-class give support services to crop and animal farms. They may collect farm by-products such as chicken feathers or palm leaves, or supply farm equipment together with drivers or operators.

Typical work includes herd testing, coop cleaning, sheep shearing, poultry caponising, cotton ginning, waxing of fruit, sun-drying of fruit and vegetables, seed processing for planting, and the cleaning, trimming and grading of crops for market. Veterinary work, landscape gardening and the rental of farm equipment without an operator are classified elsewhere.
