SSIC Sub-class 87029 – Other residential care services n.e.c.

Companies in this sub-class give accommodation and care to people who need help with daily living or cannot live with their family or on their own, where medical treatment and education are not important parts of the service. Care can include rehabilitation and support from social workers, therapists or counsellors.

Examples are halfway houses for people with substance abuse problems, homes for persons with disabilities or mental health issues, crisis shelters for victims of domestic violence, transitional shelters for the homeless, and welfare homes.
