SSIC Division 28 – Manufacture of machinery and equipment

General purpose machinery includes engines and turbines, pumps and valves, bearings and gears, furnaces, lifting equipment, lifts and escalators, office machines, robots, air-conditioning and refrigeration equipment, welding equipment and packaging machines. Special purpose machinery is for one type of industry, such as farming, metalworking, oil and gas, construction, food and drink, textiles, semiconductors, water treatment and 3D printing.
