Companies in this division generate, transmit, distribute and sell electricity, supply gas through mains, supply steam and chilled water, or act as brokers for electricity and gas.

Electricity can come from fossil fuels, from nuclear power or from renewable sources such as solar. The division also includes energy storage, charging of electric vehicles, the manufacture and processing of gas, district cooling, and the storage of thermal energy.
